Government Relations

Understanding both the substantive issues and the available political and diplomatic processes are key to developing effective government relations strategies.

With experience in the public and private sectors, and longstanding relationships in the international community, Jacobs Global Trade can tailor comprehensive yet targeted strategies that incorporate lobbying activities touching all three branches of the U.S. government, as well as the business and international communities.

Jacobs Global Trade has lobbied before the trade-related committees in the House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, and worked closely with individual Member offices, to address legislation and to educate Members and seek congressional assistance when regulatory measures raise concerns.   Jacobs Global Trade is also adept at creating coalitions to expand support and advocacy for client positions.

We also develop advocacy strategies designed to influence decision-making by the agencies, which often can be reinforced by support from congressional voices — and vice versa.  Our comprehensive approach also has incorporated independent validators, including respected think tanks, and news coverage or opinion pieces.
